Grade 3 Health Education practice — how illness spreads and is prevented, balanced eating, and what to do first when someone is hurt.
Grade 3 is where health stops being a list of good habits and starts having a reason behind each one. Hand-washing is explained by how germs travel, and once a child can say how an illness moves from one person to another, prevention becomes something they can work out rather than only remember.
Eating is treated the same way: a balanced meal is judged against what the body is being asked to do, not against a picture of a correct plate. First aid is the genuinely new work of the year — a cut, a burn, a nosebleed, a sting — and it is the one topic where the order of the steps is the answer, and where knowing when to fetch an adult matters more than knowing the remedy.
