Grade 5 history and geography: discovery and settlement, Port Louis, volcanic relief, weather and map coordinates.

650+ questions
Aligned with the MIE curriculum
The Grade 5 syllabus is the story of how Mauritius came to be settled — the Dutch, then the French, then the British — and it asks what each period left behind rather than when it started. Port Louis gets a chapter of its own, because the capital is where most of that inheritance is still standing.
The geography half is physical. Mauritius is a volcanic island, and its relief, its weather and its environmental problems all follow from that origin, so the questions connect a cause to a landscape a child already knows.

How it is practised
Map skills and coordinates are practised on a real interactive map of Mauritius rather than on a picture of one.
Questions ask what a period left behind, not what year it began, because that is what the syllabus assesses.
Bonus chapters cover landmarks, heritage and the wider Indian Ocean, clearly marked so they are never taken for the examinable set.
