Aligned with the MIE curriculum
Grade 5 is the widest maths year in primary school. It is where the four operations have to hold up against fractions, decimals, powers, average, ratio and percentage, and where measurement splits into length, area, capacity, mass and time — each with its own units to convert without dropping a factor of ten.
It is also the year money arrives as a topic in its own right. Profit and loss questions ask a child to work out what was paid from what was charged, which is the first time the answer they want is not the last number in the chain.

How it is practised
This is the only pack with a full sub-topic map — eighteen chapters broken into named sub-topics, each with its own question count and its own practice button.
Word problems build real situations rather than the same sentence with the numbers walked upward. Seventeen families of twenty near-identical items were rewritten for exactly that reason.
Every division in a worked route is checked to come out exact, so no child is told the answer is 568.888 seconds.
