Le Grade 5 est l'année des temps du passé. Le passé composé arrive d'abord, puis le passé simple et le subjonctif présent — trois façons de parler de ce qui est déjà arrivé, chacune correcte dans un contexte et fausse dans un autre.
The rest of the year consolidates what Grades 3 and 4 introduced: gender and number on nouns, agreement on adjectives, and pronouns — which in French carry a position in the sentence as well as a form, and are the most common place for an otherwise correct answer to go wrong.
