Grade 4 French practice: le présent, le passé composé, l'imparfait, adjectives, cloze texts and error hunting.
14 chapters
2200+ questions
Aligned with the MIE curriculum
Le Grade 4 introduit les deux temps du passé que tout le reste du programme suppose connus — le passé composé et l'imparfait. Le premier raconte ce qui est arrivé, le second ce qui durait, et la question du paper est presque toujours de choisir entre les deux.
Before that comes the machinery it rests on: nouns with their articles, adjectives that have to agree in gender and number, and verbs in the present. French marks agreement in writing where English does not, so a child has to hear the sentence and then check it letter by letter.

How it is practised
Textes à Trous and Chasse aux Erreurs are typed exercises — deliberately excluded from every mixed pool, because a number pad under a French passage is not the exercise.
French questions are read aloud in French by a French voice; if no French voice is installed, the child is told once why it sounds English.
Runs of blanks are collapsed into a single hum, because fr-FR reads "___" aloud as three separate words.
