PSAC Grade 6 Science — Free Practice Questions

Grade 6 PSAC science practice — air, energy, plants, animals, and the ecosystems of Mauritius and its lagoons.

Grade 6 science is where a child is first asked to explain rather than name. Knowing that plants need light is Grade 4 work; accounting for what happens to a lagoon when one part of its food web is removed is Grade 6 work, and it cannot be answered by recall.

Much of the syllabus is deliberately local. Forest and lagoon ecosystems, conservation, and the hazards that arrive with a Mauritian cyclone season are not generic science topics — they are the ones a child can walk outside and look at.
